I think the one thing about Amtrack that isn't as good as flying is that Amtrack is kind of notorious for having trains derail and killing everyone on board. Also, it's (almost) always a good move to overdress for the job interview. It shows them that you take them seriously enough to show them some sort of respect.

And for the love of god, find a starbucks that no one goes to. Working at a busy Starbucks is a fucking nightmare. I should know.
