Okay, that was a bit irritable of me. I just thought it was clear from the post that I was aware of that fact. I already have a conservative suit, and I said I plan to buy another before buying something more interesting. Maybe you think the latter is a bad idea in general, but "your hobby is a waste of money" is rarely welcome advice. I'd understand the concern if I was living paycheck to paycheck it going into debt, but I'm not even remotely close.

Also, it's simply not true that buying such a garment is a commitment to make such a purchase regularly. It's a pure luxury.
