I do believe that marriage is sacred. But not in the traditional sense. Get married if you love the person and they love you. Your wife/husband/bitch/trick/et cetera is not your fashion accessory, they're your spouse. So if you wanna see the institution of marriage defiled, watch Britney Spears get married for 48 hours.
