Arcadia

From DnD yesterday, an in-character post (because this character is fun to play around with):

"It feels so good to be free again! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the Mount... but it gets rather boring at times. So, now I'm on assignment, which means that I get to do what I do best: Traveling across the planes, righting wrongs, sniffing out and hunting down evil! Ah, the glorious life of a warrior of Justice!

Warden Sanys says that this group needs the web of an Arach (Spider Centaur things, nice people, but crazy hippies, so they spend more time on arts and crafts and less time fighting evil) to complete this spell of theirs, so we go tromping off to Arcadia to get some. Within a few seconds of arriving on the plane, we were greeted rather enthusiastically by a group of elves. Apparently, they were trying to rescue me! Can you imagine?! :D

Okay, so the group I'm traveling with contains an Ethergaunt, a Flayer, and a Fiend (although an unusual fiend, an honorable fiend, apparently), but still, I can take care of myself. (Oh, and a Tiefling, too, I almost forgot. I suppose some people would be suspicious of that, too, but she's such a cute little Tiefling, so I don't see how anyone could really feel threatened by her (especially when she's angry... it's really quite amusing)).

The city of the Arachs was beautiful, quite a bustling center of commerce, too. (And full of interesting smells!) Obtaining the webbing we needed was no problem. Well, except they made me leave my sword behind while I was in the city. And I haven't let go of that since... after the Incident. But I had to see the city! Besides, nothing would attack me on the Upper Planes (except maybe for overenthusiastic elves, and I could deal with those as a little puppy dog).

Life is good!"
