The Unemployed Archon

DnD goodness, from the Planescape campaign today and last Sunday. Plot follows:

The celestials help the group with the crystal we recovered, freeing the lawful good incarnations of the Nameless One from it: The original incarnation (the Regretful One) and the final incarnation (Adahn). Anna and Adahn are happily reunited, and Adahn decides to join us on our quest. The Regretful One tells us that Shemeshka has several other (evil) incarnations of the Nameless One held hostage. Shemeshka also still has that book, and most of the party wants to get it back from her. The group decides to attempt to free the evil incarnations so as to turn Shemeshka's force against itself.

Before leaving Mt. Celestia, Sanys, Rumsiel's boss, confronted him on his recent change in nature. Having realized that the gigantic sword he's carried around is a chaotic weapon, she had figured out (more or less) what happened to Rumsiel. Rumsiel tells her most of his story, about his injury in the plane of Limbo (plane of pure chaos) and his subsequent survival and confusion. Afterwards, Rumsiel tells Sanys that he is unfit to be a warrior of Celestia. Sanys tells him to complete his current orders, that he is afterwards dismissed from service. She asks that he return from time to time, regardless of where life takes him. Getting this all off his chest makes Rumsiel feel better, but he's still having an identity crisis. Also, he's now out of a job.

After that, the group returns to Sigil to plan their next step in dealing with Shemeshka. A'kin, the friendly fiend, pays the group a visit, dropping hints and knowing things that he probably shouldn't. Afterwards, the group wonders what he's trying to accomplish and considers the possibility that he could have been someone else in disguise.

When the session left off, the group had split up to make preparations for the next encounter with Shemeshka and her allies.

Zan's in your campaign? Sorry, very very bad joke.

When Susanna didn't have an SCA name, she didn't tell people her real name so that when she got an SCA name people wouldn't still think of her by her real name. It sort of backfired. Most people call her Vreile now, but the Crazies called her Nameless One and still do. Thus, when I saw Nameless One when skimming you entry, my first thought was Zan.
