Work and Home

I had my first day at work today! I'm now officially a corporate drone, cubicle and all (plus random schwag; I now know where my IBM towel is). To honor the occasion, the entire day was taken up with orientation and red tape; I didn't get any real work done at all. Hopefully the red tape will be less of a problem once things are worked out accounts-wise and my mentor returns (he's away the first few days I'm on the job).

After work I picked up my PS2 from UPS, then headed home. Speaking of home, here are some pictures (inelegant segue w00t!):


The house is divided up into three four-person apartments. I live on the second floor. One of my apartment-mates (Reese (sp?)) is also a summer subletter; the other two (Kevin, who I've met, and Dave (not sure if I'm remembering his name right), who hasn't been around) lived there during the year as well.


My room is small, but cozy (who needs a bed, after all). Seriously, it's pretty comfortable.

The apartment has three other bedrooms, one bathroom, a small kitchen, and a small living room. Nothin' fancy, but I'm real happy with it.

You also have a black box with the hebrew word for sick (or is it doctor?). A sick box? Or a box for the sick? Or am I missing the first half of the word?

The initial tzadi is obscured by the shelf. It's a tzedakah box.
