The Next Great Adventure

I returned to Olin on Thursday, and it's been an action-packed few days. I've had two classes (discrete math looks interesting, materials science looks like a lot of work), added another class to my schedule ("Six Experiments that Changed the World"), spent a lot of time hanging out / meeting the freshmen, done a bunch of homework, and decided to do study away after all (I had decided not to do that before, but the last week of the summer I was hit with the really strong impression that I'd end up regretting that decision). So, with any luck, I'll be heading to Japan this spring. (Vito (my roommate from last year) is doing the same program, although he's doing the "Japanese Language" program, while I'll be doing "Japanese Culture".) Unfortunately, I couldn't cross-register for Japanese this semester (due to schedule conflicts), but I've still got two alphabets to learn on top of my other work.

W00t!

日本語を分かるないか。

日本でべんきょするのがむずかしいですね。

ah. That's what I was wondering. Basically it says "You don't know Japanese? Studying in Japan is going to be hard, isn't it."
