Save the Whales, Etc.

Mystery Hunt is over. On Sunday, I journeyed to the land of Pika to seek shelter there, then on Monday I moved in with relatives (Aaron and Marsha and Ben).

I now have employment, canvassing for Greenpeace (6 hrs/day on weekdays, I start on Friday after a volunteer day at the office on Thursday). It's cold outside, but work is work.

I made a profit today, too, playing a computerized game for a research study at Harvard. Not a lot of money, but the pay/work ratio is extremely high. Participating in some research at MIT tomorrow will pay for my lunch.

I wish I could be a test subject for cash... the UC doesn't let me do much, they feel that test subjects are cheaper when they compensate for "Psychology Experiment Units" that students need to fullfill for each psych class they take....

but you see, Psych 001 is a class that roughly everone will take in the end. Most humanities must take the intro class, and some chem, bio, and eng majors take it for general ed.

With 3-4 sections of 300-500 students a quarter each taking part in 3-5 experiments a quarter, you can do the math on the diversity and sample size.
