Not Bad, But Still Disappointing

Obama has picked his VP, and it's Biden. This thwarts my hopes of a real curveball pick. Obama's dramatic moment started well, but then flopped when some anonymous Democrat (evidently not an Obama supporter, or at least not a smart one) leaked his pick to the media before Obama had the chance to send it directly to the public. While it seems like a solid choice based on polls, polls are boring, and the feminists are still pissed.

Still, it's all right, and McCain doesn't seem to have any good choices.

Cynthia McKinny of the Green Party is the third-party candidate to watch this year... Bob Barr of the Libertarians may have some effect, too.

In politics, curveballs aren't really a good risk at a time like this. I wanted to see Rendell, and the media seemed to be hinting Bayh, but I can like Biden actually. It's a safe bet in my opinion, not as safe as Bayh, but the experience he brings will put the party on "solid legs." maybe.

As for Green Party and Libertarians.... well, I don't know. Good luck to them, I'll start off with a win for democrats first, then a call for a different system of voting to increase odds for different people to make it into congress.
