Back to School

As of Tuesday, I will be starting training at work. QPX School consists of 32 three-hour workshops, two per day for the next 16 workdays, starting at 9:30AM most days, sometimes a bit earlier. O_O

Hopefully I will come out of that a little less confused about my job, but I don't expect the next three weeks to be easy or pleasant. Am preparing to get beaten bloody by the two-by-four of knowledge.

Really more of a clue-by-four, arguably.

I always figured that phrase referred to common sense, whereas a lot of this will be just the opposite.

I think "clue" generally means learned/acquired knowledge, at least in MIT usage. SIPB holds "Cluedumps" that are designed to transfer knowledge about technical topics, and according to Wiktionary someone who is clueless (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/clueless) is uninformed or lacking knowledge. *shrug*

Well, I wouldn't say I'm clueless about QPX, but then again I majorly screwed up one of my bug solutions this week (and didn't realize until I checked in today), so who am I to talk...

Just because you're not clueless doesn't mean there isn't a lot more clue you could have. That was more an example of clue not meaning common sense.
