Ugh...
I'm feeling under the weather.
I watched the first half of the debate at the Thirsty Scholar before heading home. Obama was trouncing McCain in accuracy and eloquence, but that won't stop stupid people from buying McCain's bullshit. Wonder how the debate will actually affect the poll numbers?
A McCain campaign ad played concurrently to the debate (on another channel which was showing a baseball game). The ad pictured the shadow of Obama-zilla looming over some American town with the caption "Taxes", "Crushing Taxes", "Staggering Taxes" (or something like that), then cut briefly to a picture of a baby, which was swallowed up by shadow before the McCain / Palin logo appeared on screen. Was I hallucinating? Is this really what they're going with? "Barack Obama kills babies and raises taxes"?
Update: Looks like Obama did all right on this one.
