A Few More Things

In politics, some good news.

From Bruce Holland Rogers, I have three free three-month subscriptions to BHR's Short-short Stories to give away to people who aren't currently subscribers (three stories a month, sent via email). Provide your email address if you want one.

This afternoon was the first session of Engineering Discovery at Hillside Elementary school. Although the program was hindered by some bureaucratic problems, those should be resolved by next week. Things went well with the first lesson, though. We discussed static electricity, and helped the kids build electroscopes.

It's not regifting. When I got you the subscription, I didn't even know it came with extras. Besides, I asked you for it. Unless you can pay a judge to send me to regionals, or get me a part in "The Secret Garden", the BHR subscription will do nicely.

Actually I haven't done much birthday hinting, it's been so busy. I guess Mom and Dad are in the dark. Gulp. Nah, I'm sure they'll come through.

But, seriously, it's not that advanced... all you need is a straw, a styrofoam cup, a ball of tinfoil and a bit of string.
