Not Totally Sane

Busy, busy, busy.

For "What is I?" this week we've been reading Nobody Nowhere, the autobiography of an autistic. It's an interesting book.

Consistency is a useful axiom, one that most people share. It's useful, too. I don't wonder when I go to sleep, "What if, when I wake up, everything has changed?" But I wonder if I am just stalling. Can anything stay the same forever?

If you like Donna Williams, you may wish to try Temple Grandin, whose autiebiographies are semi-famous. There's a list of autistic authors over at http://www.autistics.org

I think this is what is so hard about dealing with death or moving or a new school -- for a while, everything is different.

Temple Grandin is so cool. If I am correct, she has recently written a book about animals! Hug those cows!
