kinda late with that comment, the movie is like 5 years old now. I was one of the first people in cleveland to actually own that movie. It's so awesome.
Oh, dude, Patti was talking about that movie... When I saw Saw, I thought that was a pretty messed up movie, but apparently the Japanese have the market on messed up cornered by far.
Not that that's a bad thing, though. Battle Royale was an awesome movie, bad translations and all...
I mean, most of it isn't even horror-movie status, it's just kinda slow and drama-like and then it goes psychedelic and faster and faster and then like one of the better John Saul books it leaves you thinking that it's going to just end in a trailing-off like way but NO! it hits you Wham where you can't see it and AURRRRRRRGHHHHHH! ThE PAiN!, and drags out until apparently you can't take it anymore and then it finally ends. And, since you didn't blink and held your breath, you pass out, totally content with the experience.
