Ask the Right Question
I saw "I, Robot" again today. Melissa wanted to see it, so I went with her. It was good, even though I was seeing it for the second time.

If you haven't read the actual I, Robot, you really need to.

Despite having the same name, the movie and the book are not the same story (they don't even have the same characters). They just share the same "world" and the same themes. The movie doesn't even present itself as being "based on" the Asimov book but rather as being "suggested by" it. I think the movie reflects the flavor of Asimov's robot stories very well and shows that world quite convincingly (in addition to having a good plot and very cool action scenes). Like Asimov's robot stories, the movie's plot (despite its action-oriented nature) centers around logical dilemmas regarding the three laws of robotics.
And I have read the book. So there.
