"The Dream of Our Society"
It's been an interesting weekend.
On Friday afternoon, I went to MIT to pick up a few things of mine from Xave and go to Anime Club.
After I got back, I was immediately invited to a party. I ended up going to two (one was a typical loud-music-and-dancing type event, the other was much more chill). The Olin party scene is pretty cool, and quite a few guests from Wellesley and elsewhere showed up as well. (Wellesley is still under a campus-wide party ban since the aftermath of the Dyke Ball last year (11 people were hospitalized, and the press had a field day).)
On Saturday, I took the Babson Saturday Shuttle to Wellesley to get some work done for Social Psychology (currently, we're discussing persuasion and advertising). I watched Faces of the Enemy (the PBS special; very interesting, but some people might find it disturbing) and The Ad and the Id (worth seeing because the dude's a Freudian and Freudians are hilarious). I got back to the bus stop way too early and ended up sitting out in the cold for half an hour without a jacket (when the days are so nice, it's easy to forget that the nights get so cold) The bus was late; I don't know if it showed up at all because, at that point, some random couple offered me a ride back to Olin.
Today, I went to an event for my advising family, which was fun. (Good food, DDR, really random games...)
That's about it. I still have some work to do for tomorrow.
