Midway Through
Mar. 9th, 2006 03:51 amA few notes from this week:
I finished Trigun. Awesome series.
I read Calculating God. Solid SciFi, toys around with some interesting ideas.
Sudexho is running a test kitchen at our school this week. The guy running it has his usual post at some hippie college, he specializes in vegetarian and vegan recepies. I ate some sweet and sour seitan at lunch, which was pretty tasty. (Seitan is wheat protein. The texture is a little firmer and chewier than tofu, and it has this nice bready flavor.)
I had my interview at BBN today. I think it went well, although I have no idea whether they'll offer me the job. They certainly have a lot of interesting projects. I still need to figure out where else I'm applying.
I've decided that I'm going home for spring break, but I still haven't bought plane tickets.
There's another big theme party this Friday, run by the same group as last time. This time the theme is religion. Should be... er... interesting. :-P
I still have far more work tomorrow than I have time for.
