Jun. 8th, 2006 01:05 amGood news (for anyone who doesn't want to see discrimination written into the constitution): The Federal Marriage Amendment died on the Senate floor. The sponsors didn't even get the expected simple majority; the vote went 49-48-3 (two Democrats voted for, seven Republicans against, and the one independent opposed it).
