Man, I'm angry at Continental Airlines. My flight home for Thanksgiving break was scheduled for 9:55 on Saturday morning. But Continental retconned that so that my flight is actually scheduled for 6:00 AM. I called them and asked them to change my flight to a reasonable time (while waiving the exorbitant "ha ha sucker we've got you now" fee). After waiting on hold for 15 minutes while the Continental representative was waiting on hold for someone with the power to make actual decisions. Then I was given the option of waiting indefinitely or calling back later. I chose the later. (Continental's awful service 1 - Me 0)
Apparently, it's impossible for me to buy any bike at the local bike shop for less than $300. So, I'm still working-bike-less, while I pursue other (read "cheaper") bike purchasing options. On the plus side, the bike shop is across the street from the New England Mobile Book Fair. Apparently, there's a new book in the "Ember" series by Jeanne DuPrau. I was in the middle of far too many books. Now I'm in the middle of far too many plus one.
Kingdom Hearts II is a truly excellent game for oh so many reasons.
Career Initiatives day was today. I passed my (now updated) resume out to a bunch of employers and was generally sociable. I'm feeling optimistic: Let the January-March job hunt begin!
Has anyone ever done a mashup of "So Deep" by Silvertear and "Children" by Robert Miles? Because both songs have been running through my head simultaneously for the past few days.
Jericho is a pretty good show (I do enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction). CBS has been putting the full episodes online for free (with a reasonable amount of advertising). I'm not sure whether they plan to do that for the full life of the show, but I watched the first two episodes online, and now I'm hooked.
Three-day weekend coming up. W00t!
