Moving Along and/or Up
Apr. 30th, 2009 02:11 amWork this week has been straightforwardly productive, lots of bug hunting. Today, we took time to honor those who had been at ITA for five years (since that's a new thing, it was really those who had been at ITA five or more years and the event took a while).
Yesterday, I went to the Diesel meetup, but got there late and spent most of the time practicing kanji (mostly from my book, but one of the people in the group had 一期一会 written on her arm (ichigo ichie; a four-kanji phrase very liberally translated as "treasure every encounter, for it shall never occur again"; also one of the mottoes of IES Tokyo)).
I also did some climbing today:
Passed:
Huff and Puff - 5.6 (some tricky spots)
Inaugurator '09 - 5.6 (did this one faster this time)
Attempted:
Not So Twisted - 5.7 (didn't get far, overhangs are hard)
