Republican Asplosion Watch: "Is This On?" Edition

California assemblyman "Open Mike" Duvall did not realize he was on the air yesterday when he bragged about cheating on his wife (and his other mistress, even) with a lobbyist. He's on the legislature's ethics committee, and he's a self-proclaimed champion of "family values". He's since resigned, but has claimed that his explicit bragging about his affairs and subsequent resigning-in-shame is in no way an indication that he was actually having said affairs.

Also from Wednesday, Republican Representative Joe Wilson proved he was in touch with the wingnut town-hall spirit by shouting accusations at the President during his speech, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for his political opponent almost instantly.
