Today was Earth Day, so lots of events regarding conservation and environmentalism. Plus, good food from Trader Joe's.
I've got a job lined up for the summer at Metacarta (although not quite finalized yet). I'm having more problems with housing. I've contacted several places near MIT by email and phone message, but I haven't heard back from anywhere yet. I just finally caught one of the house managers from my favorite offer on the phone, but that offer is full already. I'll have to talk to Xave about backup options, if nothing else works out. Should have started my planning earlier, but I hadn't expected the communication difficulties to be so bad. *grmbl*
Final projects for Engineering of Distributed Systems begin this weekend. Need to figure out what I'm doing...
As far as news in the world goes, I'm encouraged by Japan's recent apology. Other things are vaguely troubling.
