Events and Tangents
Jun. 29th, 2006 12:04 amMy visit to the mothership on Wednesday was pretty good (if you ever see IBM Hawthorne, you'll understand why I call it that). After lunch, the interns met the VP of software research for a Q+A session, then there was the CS research fair (poster presentations on all the nifty research projects). On the way back, we stopped at a deli for dinner (IBM's treat). (Tangent: Borscht is weird but good. I ordered some because the last time I had eaten that was a long time ago. It was tasty.)
Today, I saw the doctor (for a follow-up blood test) and the dermatologist. Apparently, the skin condition I was worried about is a Becker's nevus (strange but harmless). (Tangent: "Hypertrichosis" is a nifty word. I <3 jargon, evidently.)
In the evening, I had dinner with my family (parents, siblings; some aunts, uncles, and cousins) at Aunt Milly's house. It was good to see everyone again. (Tangent: Solomon's going to a new school next year, the Hershey Montessori Farm School, as a five-day boarder.)
Back to work tomorrow...
