I've been getting some strange spam today (strange enough to get past my filter, even). One of my messages from earlier today went something like this (I was going to actually quote it, but I deleted it by accident before I got the chance, I don't remember the subject line either):
Blah
Blah
Blah
Blah2
Blah

[...]
That was basically it. No attachments or anything.
Just now, I got another strange email:
From: Anthony Smith <yerhill@broadcastingcable.com>
To: [me], l33t[name-obscured-to-protect-the-innocent]
Subject: Re[11]:
R0lGODlheAGYAvcAAAAAAIAAAACAAICAAAAAgIAAgACAgICAg( Waste of LJ's storage space follows... )
Who's making money off of this? (And, more relevantly, how?) If it's not ordinary (if far too well obfuscated) spam, then what is it? The only thing I can come up with off the top of my head is that it could be some sort of clandestine communication (if so, bonus points for anyone who can decrypt it).
